At ParPer Drum, we deeply believe in respecting pioneers. respeto a los creadores que abren caminos.
El Handpan, tal y como el mundo lo conoce hoy, nació gracias a la visión y sensibilidad de PANArt, sus creadores originales.
Su trabajo marcó un antes y un después en el mundo del sonido y ha inspirado a miles de personas, incluidos nosotros.
Por ese motivo, no fabricamos Handpan.
No lo hacemos por falta de capacidad, sino por respeto a su origen, a su historia y a quienes lo crearon.
We prefer to honor that heritage rather than enter a legal and ethical territory that is not ours to explore.
Our Path
Durante casi dos décadas hemos trabajado en desarrollar instrumentos propios, con identidad y lenguaje sonoro propios.
De esa búsqueda nacieron nuestros Tank Drums y Steel Tongue Drums, con una jugabilidad fluida, una melodía limpia y una forma de ejecución inspirada, sí, pero nunca copiada.
No buscamos imitar el Handpan.
Buscamos crear algo nuevo.
And that path already has its own name, shape, and sound.
Legal Framework and Respect for Original Design
In July 2024, a Swiss court resolved the well-known legal dispute concerning the protection of the Hang® and other PANArt designs.
The ruling clarified that:
- protected designs cannot be reproduced without authorization;
- any direct copying of the Hang®'s shapes, geometries, or characteristics is illegal;
- the objective is not to stifle sound creation, but to prevent counterfeiting and unauthorized copying. evitar la falsificación y la copia indebida

Our Position
At ParPer Drum, we maintain a clear and consistent stance:
- ✨ We do not manufacture Handpans.
- ✨ We do not reproduce protected designs.
- ✨ We create our own original instruments with their own identity.
Agradecemos profundamente a PANArt su aportación al mundo musical.
Su obra fue la chispa, pero nuestro camino nos ha llevado a construir algo diferente, pensado para quienes buscan un sonido propio y un alma distinta.
Seguiremos investigando, evolucionando y dando vida a instrumentos que respetan la ley, la ética y el legado de quienes vinieron antes.
